He is survived by: his mother Antoinette Schmiedl (Mittiga); his wife Wendy Schmiedl (Schimmel); his children, Samantha Schmiedl (Aaron Sostaric) of Sandusky and Matthew Schmiedl of Sandusky; and his brothers, Kurt Schmiedl (Beryl) of New Hampshire and Eric Schmiedl (Tammie Vasek) of Cleveland. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
