With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Reba M. Mears of Sandusky, Ohio, who passed away on October 29, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Davenport, and Mamie Davenport, Sr. (Williams); her brother Clyde Davenport, Jr.; and her former husband Michael Mears. She is survived by: her daughters, Kathryn Mears and Lisa Ransom (Myron); her grandchildren, Amy Cheatham Shepard (Mike), Erica Cheatham, Christopher Cheatham, Michael B. Kaufman, Kevin Kaufman and Sara Cordle (Kyle); and her siblings, Marie Whaley, Ruth Houdeshell, Ella Mae Huskey (Bob) and Dwight Davenport. She is also survived by her 9 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Erie County Dog Pound, 2900 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870 or to the Humane Society of Erie County, 1911 Superior Street, Sandusky, OH 44870.
