Rosemary Pugh Obituary
We announce the death of Rosemary Pugh of Sandusky, Ohio, who passed away on October 16, 2026, at the age of 96. Rosemary will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Hill and Vera Hill (LaFavre); her husband Russell Pugh; her sons, Joseph and Timothy Grunden; her grandchildren, C. Andrew Fredericks and Kailee Sommer; and her close friends, Margaret Knerr and Janet Mapus.
She is survived by: her children, Martha Sitterly (Dennis) of Norwalk, Miriam Sommer (Todd) of Huron, Theodore Grunden (Rebecca) of Sandusky, Diane Bonigut (David) of Jacksonville, FL and David Pugh; and her grandchildren, Joseph Grunden, Jr., Jonathan Grunden, Regina Grunden, Bob, Nicole Jones (Dale), Rachel Mamere (Brian), Kyle Sommer (Emily), Katlyn Gambrell (Austin), Shawnee Boggs, Russell Grunden (Priscilla), Misty Sanchez (Gil), Michelle Alston (Arich), Jake Smith and Ethan Smith. She is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, Sandusky Chapel (2001 Columbus Ave, Sandusky, OH 44870). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church (503 Columbus Ave, Sandusky, OH 44870).
