He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur J. Poland and E. Mae Poland. He is survived by: his wife Jane Poland of Savannah; his children, Matthew Poland (Trista) and Courtney Ringler (Zach); his grandchildren, Nick Poland, Ava, Kenley and Foster Ringler; his sister Sherri Strine; his sisters-in-law, Jody Spelman (Jeff) and Amy Wise (John); and his nieces and nephews, Sonja Crooks (Jared), Cari Engelhardt (Scott), Tara Kemp (Josh), Jonathan Spelman (Anne Marie), Jordan Spelman (Amanda), Brit Brafford (Susan), Bethany Hickey (Shaun) and Brooke Hudgens (Merrill).
