He was predeceased by: his parents, James Merritt Compher and Freda Alberta Finnicum Compher; his wife Sherry D. Snodgrass Compher; and his brothers, Charles and Jim Compher.
He is survived by: his sons, David Compher (Marcia) of New Rumley and Michael Compher (Vonda) of New Rumley; his grandchildren, Sarah Compher (Erin), Shannon Bailey (Devin), Grace and Tobias Barnhart; his great grandchildren, Willow, Paisley and Truett; and his siblings, Floyd Compher of New Rumley and Jean Rose of Louisville.
