He was predeceased by: his parents, Bud Newport and Martha "Lena" Newport; his daughters, Mary Ann Ison (David) and Martha Madewell; and his grandchildren, Daniel Marshall, Erica Smith, Megan Smith and Jesica Young.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Smith; his children, Margaret Smith, Robyn Caplinger (Joe) and David Sherer (Kim); his grandchildren, Billy, Chris (Cassi), Chelsea (Dave), Brooke and Katie; and his siblings, Paul Newport (Beulah), Verlie Webb (Dale) and Pauline Shoemaker (Steve). He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, numerous other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Ralph's honor to Hospice of Hope.
