He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Farmer, Freemason, Big Band DJ and Legend of Seaman, Ohio.; his parents, J. W. Stern and Minnie Pearl Stern (Storer); his son Ralph Michael "Mike"; his wife Mary; and his son-in-law Roger Young (Willie).
He is survived by: his daughter Katrina Young of Seaman, Ohio; his grandchildren, Autumn McCavit of Maysville and Brady Young (Leigh Ann) of Oak Ridge; his great grandchildren, Kaleigh, Chase and Drew Young; and his friends, Mason, Scottish Rite Brothers and Legion. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
