He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Grimes and Wilma Grimes (Hayes); his wife Beverly J. Grimes (Phillips); his siblings, Shirley Miller, Arlene Watson, Stanley, David, John and Steve Grimes; and his daughter-in-law Sherry Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Charles J. Grimes (Carla) of Senecaville, Gary Allen Grimes of Cambridge and Susan Rene Hensel (Rusty) of Dover; his siblings, Kenneth Grimes of Fairview, Vicky Schnacke (Rick) of Georgia, Linda Wolff of Florida and Sherry White of Akron; and his grandchildren, Drew Whitehair (Melissa), Christa Ebner (Drew), Koby Hensel, Tiffany Pulliam (Brian), Nicole Grimes (Matt) and Jacob Grimes. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.
