He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Lewis Hoffman and Esther Mae Schuster Hoffman. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Prater; his brother Marvin Hoffman (Becky Chapman); his sons, Randall Hoffman (Cara) of Franklin and Daniel Hoffman (Tara) of Liberty Township; his grandson Nathan Hoffman; Greg, Cindy and Ryan Fields. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Veterans and Disabled Veterans, The Seven Mile Presbyterian Church, Buckeye Baptist Church, or a charity your choice.
