He was predeceased by: his significant other Marguerite Hill; his parents, Gilbert Lacher and Myrtle Lacher; his former wife Margeurite; his brothers, Halvor and Henry Lacher; and his son-in-law Jim Langman.
He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, John Lacher (Nancy) of Delaware, OH, Rennie Langman, Cheri Gerwig (David) of Doylestown, OH, Jeff Reest (Kendra) of Holland, MI and Pam DeWilde (Pete) of Holland, MI; and his grandchildren, Jessica Lacher (Nate Williams), Michael Lacher (Mikala Bierma), Kirk Langman, Erik Langman, Brittaney Delo (Josh), Morgan Reest, Chad DeWilde (Michelle), Brian DeWilde (Alicia), Tyler Gerwig (Kalie) and Austin Gerwig (Grace). He is also survived by many great grandchildren; other family and friends.
