He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Whinery and Virginia Whinery (Cooper); and his brothers, Wilmer Whinery and Wallace Whinery, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Loretta June Whinery (Ramsey); his children, Brenda (Paul Scheiman), Connie (Kevin Dickson), Jennifer (Wesley Barone) and Jeffery Whinery of Barberton, Ohio; and his siblings, Edna Kindig (Whinery) of Lodi and David Whinery (Ann) of Lodi, Ohio..
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Waite Funeral Homes - Medina Chapel (765 N Court St, Medina, OH 44256). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Triangle Baptist Church, 7156 Hunter Drive, Chippewa Lake, Ohio.
