With sadness, we share the passing of Richard Franklin Detwiler of Seville, Ohio. Richard, born on January 30, 1935, passed away on October 3, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his sons, Matthew and Paul; his great grandchild Rose; and his parents, Samuel and Stella.

He is survived by: his wife Jean; his sister Norma Jean Allen (Donald); his children, Peggy Zigler (Ed), Daniel (Mary) and Carol Estvanic (Mike); and his daughters-in-law, Shelly Detwiler and Sue Detwiler-Green (Chuck). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hillcrest Chapel (9560 Acme Rd, Seville, OH 44273). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Roberts Funeral Home - Seville (9560 Acme Rd, Seville, OH 44273). A burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens (9560 Acme Rd, Seville, OH 44273).
