Charles Roy Vogt Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Roy Vogt of Shadyside, Ohio, born in Bellaire, Ohio, who passed away on August 4, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Russell Vogt (Russ) and Lillian Josephine'Jo'Vogt; his siblings, Thomas Russell Vogt, Jr. and Betty Jo DeGenova; the mother of his children Carolyn Vogt (Shaver); his son-in-law Walter Cotgreave; and his great grandchild Dugan Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Vogt (Sandra) of Mexico Beach, Florida, Susan Stephens (Jack) of Shadyside, Ohio, Barbara Sweitzer (William) of Cincinnati, Ohio and Sandra Cotgreave of Shady Hills. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home (3900 Central Ave, Shadyside, OH 43947). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
