He was predeceased by: his parents, David B. Pettit and Ruth Leota Pettit (McGilton) of St. Clairsville, Ohio.; and his brother-in-law Robert Gorby. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Pettit (Skapik); his stepchildren, James C. Johnson of Shadyside and Juliana Johnson of Rayland, Ohio; his siblings, David Pettit (Karla) of Billings, Montana and Nancy Gorby of Moundsville; his niece Nikki Anderson of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and his great-nephew Jacob Anderson. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
