He is survived by: his mother Mathilde "Miki" Rakay; his daughters, Julie Rakay (Neal Deodhar) and Laura Rakay (Phil Yosafat); his grandchildren, Jacob Hall (Helena), Alexander Hall, Joshua Bogen, Kaitlin Deodhar and Sara Deodhar; his siblings, Bruce Rakay (Pam Shackley) and Jane Rakay Nelson (James Nelson); his nephews, Adam Nelson (Nicole) and Nathan Rakay (Francis); his niece Caitlin Rakay; his great-niece Emma; and his grandson Sean Ford.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Pete's name to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami Valley, 22 South Jefferson Street, Dayton, Ohio 45402, where Pete was a volunteer Big Brother in the 1970s.
