It is with sadness that the passing of Robert L. Caldwell of Shadyside, Ohio is shared. Robert, born on August 30, 1934, passed away on August 26, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert L. Caldwell to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Robert M. Caldwell and Goldie Caldwell (Jeffers); and his brother Dr. James Caldwell. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Caldwell (Bishop); his children, Dr. Robert Lee Caldwell and Leslie O'Grady (Timothy); his grandchildren, Hannah Bjurstrom (Justus) and Isaac Caldwell; his great grandchildren, Felicity and Sofia Bjurstrom; and his siblings-in-law, Dr. Patricia Caldwell and Earl Bishop (Janet). He is also survived by two stepsons and three step-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bauknecht Altmeyer Funeral Home and Crematory (3900 Central Ave, Shadyside, OH 43947). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Powhatan Cemetery.
