With sadness, we share the passing of Broderick Johnson in Shaker Heights, Ohio. Broderick, born on July 28, 1952 in Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on September 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Johnson and Mae Emma Johnson; and his former wife Brenda Johnson (Bates). He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Brown-Johnson; his daughter Keren Harvey (Matt); his stepson Christopher Brown Sr.; his siblings, Veronica Johnson and Angelo (Angie); his half-brother Michael Mems; his siblings-in-law, Peggy McClean (Robert) and Cleveland Brown IV (Kathleen); his uncle John B. Brown (Lorain); his aunts, Shirley Lloyd (Frank) and Mildred Cooper; his grandchild Skylar; and his stepgrandchildren, Alyssa, Christopher (CJ) and Brandon. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Church of the Savior (2537 Lee Rd, Cleveland Heights, OH 44118).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Rick's honor to the Alzheimer's Association or to Church of the Saviour United Methodist.
