Edith Furst Howell Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Furst Howell (Shaker Heights, Ohio), who passed away on October 25, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Edith may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Edith touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband William Warren Howell; and her parents, William H. Furst and Edith E. Furst. She is survived by: her daughters, Elizabeth MacCallum (Ian) of New Vernon, NJ and Suzanne Smythe (Christopher) of Shaker Heights, OH; and her brother William C. Furst (Virginia) of Glencoe, IL.. She is also survived by four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
