With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Thornton Winings (Shaker Heights, Ohio), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 22, 2026 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Verner Thornton Winings and Mary Grace Madden Winings; and his son Thomas "Tom" Winings. He is survived by: his wife Jolly Jean Winings of Chicago; his children, Robert "Rob" Winings (Jean), Michael Winings, Susan Mayer (Drew), Ann Lavelle (Dave) and Tim Winings (Lynne); his grandchildren, Dan Winings, Jim Winings, Katie Winings, Melody, Miles Mayer, T. J., Jerry, Nate Lavelle, Kyle and Graham Winings; and his great grandchildren, Julia, Luke Winings, Bob, Max, Lilly and Zak Chopra.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in memory of Bob to the Bob and Jolly St. Dominic Bulldog Fund, 3450 Norwood Rd., Shaker Hts., OH 44122.
