He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Chaffins and Ellafair Chaffins (Hicks); his wife Viola "Madelin" Chaffins (Collins); his daughter Belinda "Lennie" Chaffins; and his siblings, Harvey Chaffins, Ivan Chaffins, Dewey Chaffins, Cletus Chaffins, Ethel Collins, Florence Crager and Genevieve Prater.
He is survived by: his grandsons, Richard Holloway (Michelle) of Lima, OH and Jerry Holloway (Cathy) of Suffolk, VA; his great grandchild Marcus Holloway; and his sister Vonda Jean Shepherd of Kendalllville, IN..
