He was predeceased by : his parents, James Kirkcaldy and Victoria Kirkcaldy; and his stepfather Vincent Rollo. He is survived by : his wife Johanna; his children, Vicki Piatt (Bill) of Sheffield Lake, Scott Kirkcaldy of Avon Lake and Susan Kistner (late Mel) of Elyria; his grandchildren, Whitney Hubbard (Chris) and Ryan Casper (Holly); and his great grandchildren, Morgan, Makennah, Landon, Mackenzie and Hunter.
