She was predeceased by: her father Kenneth R. Gates. She is survived by: her mother Marianne Gates (Vail); and her brothers, Daniel Gates (Susan) of Shelby and John Gates (Kathy) of North Carolina. She is also survived by her nieces; great-nephews; and other relatives and friends.
