It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn R. DeWitt of Shelby, Ohio, who passed away on July 17, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sherman Strouse and Myrtle A. Strouse (Broughton); her husband Carl F. DeWitt; her son Garry DeWitt; her stepfather Wilbert Butterfield; and her siblings, Glenn Strouse and Corrine Fisher.
She is survived by: her son Mark; her daughter-in-law Anne DeWitt of Norwalk; and her grandchildren, Kevin DeWitt, Michael Woods DeWitt, Steve DeWitt, Alex DeWitt, Marianne Schenk and Andrew DeWitt. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Penwell Funeral Home (168 W Main St, Shelby, OH 44875). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Oakland Cemetery (116 S Gamble St, Shelby, OH 44875).
