In the vast expanse of eternity, John shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid John farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mess Sr. and Elizabeth Mess (Hahn) of Norton, Ohio.. He is survived by: his wife Regina "Gina" Mess; his children, John J. "Johnny" Mess and Elizabeth Urbach (Liz); and his sister Judy Peterman.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Shreve Community Church (430 N Main St, Shreve, OH 44676). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Burial: Following the service, Oak Grove Cemetery, Shreve, Ohio, In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to the Gideons or your choice.
