We announce the death of Selby Jerry Phelps of Shreve, Ohio, who passed away on August 20, 2026, at the age of 86. Selby will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmon Phelps and Mattie Phelps (Hopper); his daughter Tina Mayforth (David Mayforth); his half-sister Sharon Hudson; Timothy Stamper.
He is survived by: his wife Treva J. Morgan; his children, Michael Phelps (Linda) and Terry Phelps; his grandchildren, Kyle Phelps, Kent Phelps (Kayla), Matthew Mayforth, Jeffrey Mayforth and Darin Phelps (Becca); his great grandchild Ava Phelps; his half-sister Wanda Stamper; and his brother-in-law Russell Hudson.
