He is survived by: his wife Ida Faye Fitzwater; his children, Roger (Jennifer James) of Amsterdam, OH, Tina (Michael Manuel) of Helena, OH and Rodney James of Shreve; his grandchildren, Samantha, Dustin, Cody, Brady, Tayla and Aydin; his great grandchildren, Bella, Jorgia, Bentlee, Bradley, Madilyn, Rosie, Cloie, Merissa and Mason; his sisters, Dinas Minney of Stumptown, WV, Patricia Howland of Spotsylvania, VA., Evelyn (Leon Lamouroux) of Fredericksburg, VA. and Maxine Curtis of Richmond, VA; and his nephew Randy James of Overton.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Murray Funeral Home (173 S Main St, Creston, OH 44217). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
