He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Long and Gladys Long (Cramer); his son Jeffrey Tonkin; and his brothers, David and Donald Long.
He is survived by: his wife Linda (Reineke); his children, John Tonkin of McCartyville, Sherry Young (David) of Sidney and Jason Long (Janina) of Vandalia; and his grandchildren, Michael Everett (Ashley), Matthew Everett (Macey), Holly Tonkin, Samuel Young, Noah Young, Sebastian Long and Leon Long. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Wilson Health Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice.
