He was predeceased by: his parents, George E. Smitman, Jr. and Betty Viola Smitman (Nelson). He is survived by: his wife Lyndia Sue Smitman; his children, Garth Ernest-Henry Smitman, Geoffrey Edward Smitman and Amy Louise Knepper; his grandchildren, James William Simpson, Wendy Angela Simpson, Gregory Elliott Smitman, Ashley Elizabeth Smitman, Viola Grace Smitman, James William Knepper and Emma May Knepper; and his sisters, Rhonda Hunter and Jan Frisk. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grand nephews.
