She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde P. Mummey and Opal Mummey (Yelton); her husband Richard Eugene Ward; and her siblings, Warren Mummey, Shirley Ceylor and David Leroy Mummey.
She is survived by: her sons, Gregory E. Ward (Helen Heins) of Sidney and Mark E. Ward of Sidney; her grandchildren, Michael E. Ward (Kristi) of Sidney and Stephanie Everett (Tyler) of Sidney; her great grandchildren, Kaden Ward, Landon Everett, Nolan Everett, Lena Everett and Madilyn Ward; her sisters, Diana Reineke (Bill) of Maplewood and Jenny Lay of Sidney; and her siblings-in-law, Sandy Mummey of Florida and Dale Ward of Quincy.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. (302 S Main Ave, Sidney, OH 45365). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at the Greenwood Union Cemetery - DeGraff (676 Cretcher St, De Graff, OH 43318).
Memorials to honor Jan may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
