In the sacred silence of farewell, Joe is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Pumphrey and Alberta Pumphrey (Bravard). He is survived by: his wife Elaine (Turner); and his children, Julie Ketcher of Claremore, OK, Steven Hood (Angela) of Indianapolis, IN, Rachel Henderson (James) of Naples, FL and Karen Smith of Columbus, OH. He is also survived by four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Saint Paul's United Church of Christ (707 N Ohio Ave, Sidney, OH 45365). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials to honor Joe may be made to Saint Paul's United Church of Christ Missions Trip Fund.
