With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joyce Ann Gates of Sidney, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thorvald Holst and Bessie Holst (Gilson); and her sister Eva Applebee. She is survived by: her children, Michael Windham (Ellen) of Sidney and Joanna Davis of Sidney; her grandchildren, Dustin Cole (Lindsay), Jeremy Davis (Marrisa), Joshua Davis (Kelli), Brandon Windham (Lauren), Braeden Windham (Marcie Parker) and Brittany Martin (Chad Martz); and her brothers, Lee Holst (Betty) of Sioux Falls, SD and Marvin Holst (Connie) of Dunkerton, IA.. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. (302 S Main Ave, Sidney, OH 45365). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 at the same location.
