We announce the death of Michael Leroy Sparks of Sidney, Ohio, who passed away on October 2, 2026, at the age of 60. Michael will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sparks and Shirley Sparks (Paul); his son Nathan Sparks; and his father-in-law Doug Sorensen. He is survived by: his wife Jill Sorensen; his children, Robert Sparks of Sidney, Brittni Aikin (Derek) of Sidney and Kirsten Sparks (Christian Freisthler) of Sidney; his grandson Haiden Kelly; his brother Kenneth Sparks (Viki) of Sidney; his brother-in-law Chris Sorensen (Yvonne) of Wapakoneta; his nephew Justin Sparks (Stacie) of Sidney; his mother-in-law Faye Sorensen of Cridersville; and his pet Molly. He is also survived by his family, friends, co-workers.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home (302 S Main Ave, Sidney, OH 45365). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Cromes Edwards Funeral Home (302 S Main Ave, Sidney, OH 45365).
