She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvy Liess and Donna Liess (Knasel); her husband Charles Hughes; and her son Rick Hughes. She is survived by: her children, Sharon Applegate (Robert "Bob") of Sidney and Charles "Chuck" Hughes (Tabitha) of Sidney; and her grandchildren, Bruce Applegate, Stacy, Travis Temple, Derrick Hughes, Chelsea Hughes, Brandon Hughes (Erin Symonds) and Alexis Doyle (Jonah Huggins). She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
