He was predeceased by: his parents, George Platfoot and Bertha Platfoot (Behr). He is survived by: his wife Alice Faye Zimpfer; his daughter Melody Small (Brian) of Vandalia; his stepsons, Tim Laws of Arizona and Brian Laws of California; and his grandchildren, Wesley Eppley (Abbey), Aric Eppley (Katie) and Abigail Richards (Derek). He is also survived by three step-grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
