As Richard departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Richard. Though Richard may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hughes and Elizabeth Hughes (Buirley); and his wife Ethel Hughes (Maxwell). He is survived by: his children, Richard E. Hughes (Deborah), Larry Hughes (Sherry) of Sidney and Jennifer Hughes of Horatio; and his close friend Nancy McClain. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
