He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley R. Helmlinger and Agnes Helmlinger (Fogt); his wife Dolores V. Maurer; his brother Dale L.; his sister-in-law Naomi Helmlinger; his son-in-law Dan Broaddrick; and his brothers-in-law, Harry Krugh and Roger Metz.
He is survived by: his children, Robbin Broaddrick of Sidney, Jon Ciminillo (Linda) of Troy and Timri Berning (Mark) of Anna; his grandchildren, Joshua Riegel (Angela), Che Riegel, Ty, Ashley Broaddrick, Dennis Berning (Kristi) and Casie Kitzmiller (Scot); his great grandchildren, Roman, Elliott, Emma, Che Riegel, Briley Moses, Naomi Biller, Natalie Green (Adam), Kennedy Brewer, Mason, Cadence Berning, Miles and Remi Kitzmiller; and his sisters, Barbara Krugh of Maplewood and Carolyn Metz of Sidney. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
