It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leo Patrick Green of Somerset, Ohio, who passed away on June 4, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Green and Pauline Green; his parents-in-law, Cecilia and Bernard Schmeltzer; and his siblings, Bill Green, Peg Ebert and Mary Herendeen.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Sheryl Slatzer (Dave), Steve Green (DiAnna), Shawn Green (Nicole), Sheila Gillespie (Hal), Shevon Owen (Scott) and Scott Green (Debbie); his grandchildren, Erika Forgrave (Jay), Aaron Slatzer (MaryKate), Anna Hickman (Max), Andrew Slatzer (Addyson Boyer), Elyssa Slatzer, Parker, Paige, Paityn Green, Isla, Lillian, Leo Green, Hal, Graeme, Heath Gillespie, Drake, Cash, Charlie Owen, Jaxson, Juliana and Jayden Green; his great grandchildren, Grady Forgrave, Grey, Sawyer Slatzer and Lainey Hickman; and his siblings-in-law, Terry Ebert, Steve Herendeen and Beth Green. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home (203 S Columbus St, Somerset, OH 43783). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (5757 OH-383, Somerset, OH 43783).
