We announce the death of Michael Hitchens (Somerset, Ohio), who passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 92. Michael will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Michael’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold W. Hitchens and Monica Hitchens (Emmert); his siblings, Harold W. Hitchens, Sr. of Newark, John J. Hitchens of Somerset and Juanita "Dete" Hitchens; and his nephew Harold W. Hitchens, Jr. of Coshocton. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews, as well as many great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery (228 S Columbus St, Somerset, OH 43783).
