We announce the death of Robert Skinner of Somerset, Ohio, who passed away on October 11, 2026, at the age of 53. Robert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his father Gerald Stuart Skinner, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Norma Jean "Jeannie" Skinner; his wife Sonya Skinner (Smith); his children, Rachel, John, Luke and Ezra Skinner; his siblings, JoEllen Tope (Robert), Mike Skinner (Paula), Jody Snider (Scott) and Jennifer Helriggle (D. J.); his nieces and nephews, Chris, Kyle Montell, Courtney Trowbridge, Jordan, Jacob, Megan Skinner, Madison Schmelzer, Spencer Snider, Riley, Cassie Helriggle, Amelia, William and Benjamin Smith; and his close friend Tom Woods (Tina). He is also survived by extended family members and countless friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Somerset Community Church (139 E Main St, Somerset, OH 43783). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to North Valley Bank in the Skinner family's name.
