He was predeceased by: his wife Tootsie Watkins; his siblings, Jack, Homer, Joe, Louis, Estelle Redmond, Hazel Shelley and Daisy Davis; and his parents, Dave Watkins and Cappie Watkins.
He is survived by: his children, Andrew Watkins (Nancy) of New London and Rita West (Bobby) of Wellington. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
