With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Edward Hauck of South Amherst, Ohio, born in Lakewood, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 2, 2026 at the age of 61. As John departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved John. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his mother Jacquelyn Cooper. He is survived by: his daughters, Ashley Hauck of Rocky River and Hannah Hauck of Elyria; his father Thomas Hauck (Donna) of South Amherst; his brother Tommy Hauck (Patti) of Avon Lake; his former wife Catherine Hauck of Elyria; and his stepsisters, Dawn Maple, Cindy Hixenbaugh and Samantha Bradford.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that monetary donations be made directly to John's daughters, Ashley and Hannah to assist in funeral expenses.
