It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Mae Jones in South Amherst, Ohio, born in Betsey, Kentucky, who passed away on July 16, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Roy "Gene" Jones; and her parents, Rufus Brown and Myrtle Brown. She is survived by: her children, Roger Jones, Wendy (Byrd), Connie Lee, Duane, Dannie Jones, Frankie (Pack), Julie Howard, John, Jeannette Burchett, Lee, Roy Jones and Mechelle (Johnson). She is also survived by 16 Grandchildren, 31 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great grand child.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the North Lake Missionary Baptist Church (323 N Lake St, South Amherst, OH 44001). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
