He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Scott and Betty Louise Cheney (Waugh). He is survived by: his wife Linda Cheney (Snell); his children, Nicholas Cheney, Matthew Cheney (Emily) and Katelyn Cheney; his grandson Emmett Cheney; and his pet Molly.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the South Charleston United Methodist Church (15 E Jamestown St, South Charleston, OH 45368). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the South Charleston UMC in Scott's honor.
