He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Gilmore and Ruth Gilmore; and his brother Richard "Zeke" (Dianne). He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo "Joey" Gilmore; his children, John Gilmore (Teri) of Cleveland Heights and Joanne Mejia (Lee) of South Euclid, Ohio.; his grandson Matthew Mejia; and his sister Pat Kearney (Tim).
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Home of South Euclid (4600 Mayfield Rd, South Euclid, OH 44121). A Mass was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Gesu Catholic Church (2470 Miramar Blvd, University Heights, OH 44118).
