She was predeceased by: her parents, John Massey and Ethel Goody Massey; her husband Reinhard Koehler; her son Julius John Koehler; her great grandchild Elizabeth Watts; and her siblings, Youvonne Reed, John Massey and Charlie Massey.

She is survived by: her children, Donald Clark (Ruthie), Ianna Sue Watts, Ethel Copenhaver (Shawn) and Joy Darlene Watts; and her brother-in-law Darrell Reed (Duke). She is also survived by 21 great grandchildren.
