She was predeceased by: her parents, John Nance and Bertha Nance (Wilson); her son Kenneth Fout; her grandson Bobby Fout; her children-in-law, Birdie Fout and David Schochler; her children, Connie Sue Hatfield (Jack) and Donald "Jim" Fout (Tanna); and her stepdaughters, Tracy Drake (Robert), Stacy Ellewood (Brian) and Dawnya Boggs (David).
She is survived by: her spouse Merle; and her siblings, Mary Simpson (Carl) and Bobby Nance (Betty). She is also survived by her 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Phillips Funeral Home (1004 S 7th St, Ironton, OH 45638). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
