We announce the death of Phil E. Suiter (South Point, Ohio), who passed away on August 26, 2026. He was predeceased by: his parents, Derward Suiter and Bethel Wallace Suiter; his former wife Frieda Adkins Suiter; and his siblings, Phyllis Poynter of Chesapeake, Ohio, Bonnie Moore of South Point, Ohio and William Suiter of Chesapeake, Ohio..
He is survived by: his wife Burnis Wolf Suiter; and his children, Pamela Jeffcott (Tom) of Cedar City, Utah, Kimberly Cook (Scott) of Buffalo, Dr. Kevin Suiter (Grace) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Jonathan Suiter of St. Albans and Patrick Suiter (Mara Lee) of Willow Grove. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Cross Lanes Bible Church (5442 Big Tyler Rd, Cross Lanes, WV 25313). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Highland Memorial Gardens.
Memorial gifts in Dr. Suiter's memory may be made to one or both of the following causes, each of which was dear to Phil and his family: 1) Support for the missionary efforts of Phil's grandchildren, Chris and Katie Dodson and Josh and Christina Harding, who serve as church planters among the Mormons in Utah.
