With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Myrtle Cox of South Solon, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Myrtle left this world on November 1, 2025 at the age of 93, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid adieu to Myrtle's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Myrtle has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her mother Martina Smittle Yates. She is survived by: her husband Dewey Yates; her sons, Edwin B. Cox Jr. and David G. Cox; and her grandchildren, Sarah Cole, Ashley Cox, Corey Cox and Meghan Cox. She is also survived by three great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Hancock United Church of Christ in Lexington, MA.
