He was predeceased by : his grandfathers, Maurice Scholl and Jerry Butts Sr.; and his cousin Ben Phillips. He is survived by : his parents, Jerry Butts and Kelli Butts Jr. (Scholl); his brother Wes Owens of Vandalia; his grandmothers, Rose Butts of Columbus and Sandra Scholl of Springfield; his niece Ellie Owens of Vandalia; and his close friends, Victor Roark, Dakota Smith, Bailey Scanlon, Paul, Jenna and Summer Allen. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions to be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
