With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Steve E. Simon of Southington, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Steve left this world on July 6, 2025 at the age of 68, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. In the vast expanse of eternity, Steve shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Steve farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Simon and Joan Simon; and his brothers-in-law, Corky Lapoczka and Steve Lapoczka. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Simon; his stepson Levi Daughtry (Amanda); his sister Cheryn Nakoff; and his siblings-in-law, Barb Richardson (Bill), Mary Ellen Iarussi (Kevin), Kim Lapoczka and Billy Lapoczka. He is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews, 27 great nieces and nephews, 6 great great nieces and nephews, as well as many beloved friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carlson Funeral Homes - Garrettsville (8382 Center St, Garrettsville, OH 44231). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 8:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the same location.
